This is a 1927 Thompson Submachine gun, also known as the Tommy Gun. It fires the .45 ACP cartridge. They are currently available in semi-auto from Auto-Ordnance. If anyone wants to send me $1,000 I'll think of them fondly as I'm shooting at the range! :)
Above is the Barrett M82 Semi-Automatic .50 BMG rifle. It can put some serious hurt on you from a mile or more away. Not a bad toy for a mere $6800. Beside it is another Tommy Gun, this model can be seen being used by Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan.
